A NEW PRESIDING AND COADJUTOR BISHOP FOR THE ANGLICAN INDEPENDENT COMMUNION

The Rt. Rev'd Robert Samuel Loiselle was unanimously voted the Presiding Bishop of the Anglican Independent Communion by the Clergy of the Communion last Saturday in Georgetown, Delaware. The Rt. Rev'd Peter A. Compton-Caputo nominated Bishop Robert Samuel to the position.

+Peter then also moved that +Robert Samuel be raised to Coadjutor. This was also accepted by an unanimous vote of all attending. There were four absentee proxies accounted for (but no butterfly ballots)

On Saturday, November 11,2000, the annual meeting for the Bishops, Priests and Deacons of the Anglican Independent Communion, was held in Georgetown, Delaware at St. James Anglican Church. The Rector of this Parish is the Rev'd John Gains.

+Peter will continue to serve as the Rector of St Paul's Anglican Church in Crownsville Maryland.

+Robert Samuel will now also function as the head of the Atlantic Orthodox and Anglican Seminary in Lothian, Maryland and directly oversee all the Episcopal duties of this Communion.

A Council of Advisors was also set in place. They are, The Rev'd John Gains, the Rev'd Tom Beran, the Rev'd R.H. Tregenza. The alternate member is the Rev'd V.V Lukose.

A Statement of Doctrine was agreed upon by all present which accepts the 1928 BCP as the Liturgy of this Communion, the 39 Articles as our Articles of Religion, and the Tradition and authority of the Holy Scriptures on the subject of Holy Orders for a male priesthood.

+Robert Samuel and +Peter then issued and signed licenses recognizing as Priests and Deacons of the AIC:
