+ROBERT SAMUEL LOISELLE's Lines to
the Order of Corporate Reunion
Lines of Apostolic Succession![]()
There seems to be two different organizations which claim to have valid Apostolic Sucession from the OCR in North America. The first group is directly back to +Frederick George Lee in Great Britian, the second is associated more directly with with +Brooks, +Maxey and +de Wilmott-Newman. We are presently researching the matter.
However, +Robert Samuel Loiselle is connected to both lines. Bishop Georgius Abp. Ignatius (William Albert) Nichols was the USA Provincial I of the Order of Corporate Reunion. A +William Nichols line descends to the AEC.
+Robert Samuel has a direct line from +Paget E.J. Mack which does not go through +Ryan or +Propheta. This European OCR line directly enters +Robert Samuel's succession from +Bertil Persson. Archbishop Persson is the present Primate VIII of the Order of Corporate Reunion. He does not connect his OCR lines back to the efforts of Mar Georgius of Glastonbury to reestablish the OCR but directly back to +Frederick George Lee. The fruit from the Mar Georgius line too often has ended up in dark places outside of the Light of the Blessed Trinity.
+Persson also has direct lines back to the American Orthodox Church through his main consecrator.
* Abp. Nils Bertil Alexander Persson of the Apostolic Episcopal Church, Sweden was consecrated by Abp. Perry Nikolaus Cedarholm on December 12, 1971. +Dr. Persson is also the Primate Emeritus of the Apostolic Episcopal Church.
+Persson was consecrated by Abp. Perry Nikolaus Cedarholm was consecrated by Abp. John Chrysostom More-Moreno of the American Orthodox Church on December 6, 1949.
* Abp. John Chrysostom More-Moreno of the American Orthodox Church was consecrated in November 1933 by Bp. Sophronios Bishara of the American Orthodox Church.
* Bishop Sophronios Bishara was consecrated as the American Orthodox Bishop of Los Angeles and the West on May 26, 1928, in New York City, by Archbishop Aftimios Ofiesh, the first primate of the American Orthodox Church.
+Ofiesh also consecrated +Nichols and it is from +Nichols that many of the ORC lines come to American and Canadian Catholic-Orthodox bishops.
+Francis Spataro is the present primate of the Apostolic Episcopal Church, North America and he was also directly consecrated by +Persson as his main consecrator. +Spataro also has other lines from Mar Georgius which intersect with +Nichols.
+Bp. Arthur William Howarth (Primate IV of the Order of Corporate Reunion) was consecrated June 13, 1910 by Abp. Arnold Harris Mathew, assisted by Abp. Frederick Cornwallis Conybeare and Abp. Henry Arthur Stanton (Primate II of the Order of Corporate Reunion).
A historic note. There are some who claim that +Mathew and The Rev. Canon Percy Dearmer were never members of the Order of Corporate Reunion. However, +Bertil Persson indicates that they were.
* Bp. Arnold Harris Mathew (Primate III of the Order of Corporate Reunion) was consecrated November 1, 1909 , by Abp. Frederick Cornwallis Conybeare, assisted by +Percy Dearmer and Abp. Henry Arthur Stanton (Primate II of the OCR)
*Bp. Percy Dearmer was consecrated by the founding Bishops of the Order of Corporate Reunion on August 15, 1894.
*Bp.Henry Arthur Stanton (Primate II of the Order of Corporate Reunion) was consecrated December 26, 1882 by the founding Bishops of the Order of Corporate Reunion, Bp. Thomas (Frederick Lee) of Dorchester (Primate I of the OCR); Bp. Joseph(Thomas Mossman) of Selby, and Bp. Laurence (John Seccombe) of Caerleon [whose surname is often misspelled "Seecombe"].
Bishop Frederick George Lee (Primate I of the Order of Corporate Reunion) and Bishop Thomas Wimberley Mossman, were consecrated according to the ancient Ambrosian Rite in Italy, in June of 1877. The consecrators were the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Venice, Patriarch Dominicus Agostino, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Milan, Italy, Luigi Nazari di Calabiana, and by the Abbot-General of Ordo Mechitaristarum Venetiarum from the Island of Saint Lazarus near Venice, Archbishop Ignatios Ghiurekian, a Byzantine Catholic Bishop
Some believe that +Seccombe had already been consecrated by +Ferrette and was not in Italy in 1877.
The two Italian consecrands, before their consecrations, were received into Roman Catholicism by Baptism and Confirmation, and had received Holy Orders up to and including the Sacred Presbyterate.
