VARIETY, October 26, 1998 , OLIVER JONES
"Despite what was undoubtedly a limited budget, tech credits are remarkable, prompting one to believe that Tod Davies' (the producer) talents are more as a producer then as a screenwriter. She co-wrote "Fear and Loathing In Los Vegas. Lenser Rob Tregenza's combination of roving pans and precisely constructed set shots displays a freshness and cleverness that the script only hints at."
WERKMIESTER HARMONIES
In 1998, Tregenza also worked in Hungary for Bela Tarr and
Laslo Kraznahorki on WERKMIESTER HARMONIES
which then went into hiatus before completion of principal photography due to problems with funding and production scheduling. This was shot in black and white Eastman Double X Negative with Moviecam cameras.
LATER COMMENTS FROM ROB TREGENZA 7/22/01
I have now seen a copy of this shadow of a film (at Toronto last year) . For what it is worth. I was the D.P. and the camera operator on the first scene in the bar when they were talking about the planets and also the scene in the Hospital when the gang breaks in and finds the old man naked in the bath tub. I also have blocking diagrams for about 15 other scenes which I blocked on location but which were operated by other cameramen/persons. I was never paid for the work/design I did on the film.
