Cinema Parallel distributes on home video and on 35mm prints international and independent films. Here is our rental policy.

Film Rental Information

Cinema Parallel only rents 35mm prints. All our prints are all in excellent condition.

We require that there be a minimum guarantee of $300-500 against 35% of the house for most bookings. In the case of SATANTANGO the MG is $1,500.00.

If it is a "semi-theatrical" or university screening we require the above MG but allow up to three screenings for that amount.

The theatre/renter agrees to pay for the cost of print shipping and also to insure the prints for damage while in projection and/or loss in transport.

All our prints are inspected upon return.

Home Video Sales

If you are a video store or chain our titles can be bought through Ingram Entertainment (Mr. Kelly Adams at 515 254-7270) or from Cinema Sundays if you call or email us.

The home video retail price is $89.95 for most titles.

SATANTANGO due to the length will be more when it reaches video later in the year.

cineBLAST! is $79.95 but 2 pack and 4 packs will be available at a much lower price.

University and Library Rates

Many teachers are not aware that the showing of a video tape that is licensed for home video in a class room is in violation of the law.

This is why there are different license agreements and terms for the non-theatrical distribution of a title and hence different prices. If you are a library or a film course that wants a video of any of these films please contact us so we can discuss the license.

Cinema Parallel holds all the American non-theatrical rights to the above titles and videos for library and classroom use are available for all out titles.
