+ROBERT SAMUEL LOISELLE' s PETRINE

Lines of Apostolic Succession

St. Gregory I

What is "Apostolic Succession"?

(St. Peter and St. Paul)

+Robert Samuel Loiselle has valid Petrine lines of Apostolic succession from +Carlos Duarte Costa in Brazil.

The Duarte Costa lines in the 1970 and 80s were too widely spread into North America by questionable Independent Catholic and Continuing Anglican consecrations. See Mr. Boyd's excellent and ever expanding site for more details .

Many of these consecrations seem to have been highly irregular and are an attack on the intent, doctrine and liturgy of Holy Orders within the tradition of the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. +Robert Samuel's most direct Duarte Costa lines are from from +Barber and +Persson.

+FOREST ERNEST BARBER was consecrated by +LUIS CASTILLO MENDEZ
Patriarch, Igreja Catholica Apostolica Brasilira on January 30, 1985. He consecrated
+BERTIL PERSSON on June 14, 1987. This line then comes directly to +Loiselle from +Mack.

The Holy Spirit is both a person and a power to be considered in this process. The "lines" come down by the Spirit, the Word, and the Tradition. This is a Sacrament, a mystery and a Truth.

From the THE LINE OF SUCCESSION THROUGH THE ORDER OF CORPORATE REUNION there is another older Petrine line from Archbishop Luigi Nazari di Calabiana.

The Order of Corporate Reunion was established in 1874 to promote the restoration of the Church of England to apostolic unity with the universal Church. (both Rome and the East) The Roman Catholic authority for its founding was the Patriarch of Venice, Joseph Aloysius Cardinal Trevisanato. The actual consecrations of two of the original Order of Corporate Reunion Bishops was authorized in May 1877 by Pope Pius IX, Bishop of Rome. Many in the Church of England continue to regard the OCR Orders as invalid because no documents were ever presented by the founders to prove the consecrations.

+Loiselle's most direct connection to the OCR is through +Persson the present Primate of the OCR and +Spatero who is the present North American Provincial.

There are also other Uniate lines from the Greek Melkhite Catholic Succession which were once recognized by the Bishop of Rome as valid.

Some Old Catholic lines, have been recently accepted by Rome, which come down from Utrecht Bishops to the Polish National Catholic Church in North America. The Anglican Independent Communion is not presently in communion with the PNCC but we believe we have these same Apostolic lines.

Our position on the ordination of women to Holy Orders and our shared views on traditional Christian morality and ethics places us in the same spiritual and orthodox tradition.

The origins of the PNCC lines are also to be found in the charts of +Peter's and +Robert Samuel's Utrecht successions.
